Pagani Design AK Chronograph

The Pagani Design AK Project chronograph borrows the language of 1960s motorsport: a panda dial with contrasting sub-registers, a blue tachymeter bezel, blue hands, and a fabric strap that keeps the whole thing light on the wrist. It is a busy dial that somehow stays easy to read, because the chronograph hands are coloured differently from the running seconds. Strap it on and it reads sporty without tipping into costume.The movement is quartz, which is a deliberate choice rather than a compromise. It keeps time to within seconds a month, starts the moment you put it on after a year in a drawer, and lets the pushers work crisply without the cost of a mechanical column wheel. A date window sits at the foot of the dial, and anti-reflective sapphire crystal keeps the whole arrangement clear in direct sunlight.The stainless steel case is built to the same standard as the brand's automatics, and the tachymeter bezel is there to be used: time a kilometre and read your average speed straight off the scale.
